The Galaxy Book should be available today at, and the Galaxy Book Odyssey will also come to, Amazon,, MicroCenter, and NewEgg on November 11.Not sure why you would want to see your hand behind a laptop.but you can. We’ll see what the final Galaxy Book specs are, but Samsung mentions a “dedicated graphics card” and a touch-screen 15.6-inch FHD display, so that sounds like a decent baseline. Users might be attracted by its agreeable design and the Samsung brand, but there is quite a bit of competition in that market segment. The general build is pretty decent, but it is neither very thin (15.5mm) nor light (3.51 Lbs). The basic Galaxy Book is more about reaching a good ratio between quality and affordability. As a result, you can configure it with a Core i7-1165G7, 16GB, and 512GB of storage. It is designed to maximize your experience when watching movies, browsing, or sketching if you have light computing needs. This laptop isn’t geared towards high-performance but instead focuses on usability comfort. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G is an ultra-light (2.43 Lbs), ultra-thin (11.43mm), ultra-connected (5G), multimedia convertible laptop equipped with an excellent AMOLED display that is compatible with Samsung’s S Pen. To me, the 32GB maximum RAM capacity is also what makes it “creative friendly” for people who work with large datasets. There’s plenty of ports, including a microSD reader (full SD would have been best).Ĭreative professionals doing video-editing or heavy photoshopping might be interested in the 6-cores Core i7-11600H CPU and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics processor and 1TB of storage. Yet that computer could power complex scientific applications, along with excellent entertainment while on a business trip. Technically, it should perform like an entry-level Gaming Laptop but yet look like a typical premium thin (18mm) & light (4.08 Lbs) 15.6” computer.Ĭorporate users would get a very powerful boardroom-friendly chassis system without RGB light all over the place. Of the three, the new Galaxy Book Odyssey (photo above) is the most interesting because it packs the most performance for the weight.
